HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver – Casual Days & Nights – West Auckland (Dedicated Fleet)

Jack Richards is looking for Class 1 (C+E) Casual Drivers, one to cover Days, the other to cover Nights, on an ad hoc basis, to join our well-established, family run, national haulier.

** Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from Newly Qualified Drivers with less than 12 months’ Commercial Class 1 (C+E) Driving experience **

Preferred Experience:

• Curtainside Trailers
• Paper Reels & Cardboard Packaging
• Ratchet Strapping

** You must hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, hold a UK digital tachograph card and a full DQC (CPC card) **

Role involves:

• Ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team
• Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge
• Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

In return you will get:

• Days – £13.00 to £15.50 per hour + Enhanced Rates after 10 hours + Up to £5 per day Meal Allowance (Tax Free)
• Nights – £147 to £150 per 10 hour shift + Enhanced Rates after 10 hours
• Also earn an additional:
• £6 per shift worked Retention Bonus
• SAFED Plus Fuel Bonus (up to £4.50 per shift)
