Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Class 2 Driver (C) to join our team, operating Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest quality and accuracy of each delivery.
- Meet timed deadlines and plan routes accordingly.
- Utilize PDAs to track and sign deliveries.
- Drive to SAFED standards to achieve safe driving payments.
- Embrace the company’s Health and Safety policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the company uniform and keeping the vehicle clean at all times.
** Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications from Newly Qualified Drivers with less than 12 months’ Commercial Class 2 (C) Driving experience **
Ideal Candidates will have experience in:
- Curtainside Trailers
- Multi Drop Pallet distribution to both business and private sectors
- Customer-facing interaction
- Sign-on-glass POD and ETA tracking
- Route planning
- Self-management of drivers’ hours regulations including digital tachograph usage.
** You must hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (C) licence, hold a UK digital tachograph card and a full DQC (CPC card) **
In return you will get:
- Estimated Annual Gross Earnings:
- c. £35,200 OTE with Pallet Bonus
- Includes up to £5 per Day Meal Allowance
- Also earn an additional £5 per shift worked Retention Bonus (c. £1,100)
