Jack Richards is looking for a professional Class 1 (C+E) Night Driver (incl. Shunting & Strapping to join a well-established, family run national haulier.

Preferred Experience:
- Curtainside Trailers
- Paper Reels, Carboard
- Ratchet Strapping
- Shunting
- Load Strapping
** You must hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, hold a UK digital tachograph card and a full DQC (CPC card). **
Role involves:
- Mon to Thu: 1800 to 0600
- Fri: 1500 – 0000 (or until finish)
- Role split between Driving and Shunting & Strapping. While the emphasis is on Driving you will be required fulfil Shunting & Strapping duties as per business needs.
Driving:
- Mainly Night Trunking to regular destinations including Birmingham and Norwich
- Ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team
- Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge
- Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner
- Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
Shunter/Load Strapping:
- Safely securing and strapping loads across different loading bays, reporting any issues to the shift team leader,
- Ensuring curtains are closed and secured properly,
- Escorting LGV drivers to and from the Driver Safe Zone,
- Assisting with the unstrapping of paper deliveries,
- Assisting with photographing completed loads once secured,
- Doing yard shunting as and when required using Terberg
In return you will get:

- Enhanced Rates after 40 hours
- Night Shift Bonus

- £6 per shift worked Retention Bonus (c. £1,300)
